One day and counting......

Tomorrow is the big day. We leave Minneapolis at 7pm on a direct flight to London. We should arrive at 9:30am Wednesday.

Today we are busy tieing up all the loose ends. Last week we took the bikes into the shop for one final "check up" a few tweaks were made and the Bike Mechanic gave them a clean bill of health. This morning we loaded "Everything" up and took them out for a 15mile loop around one of the many lakes here in Minnesota. Everything went well and we are now ready to Box, Bag and Stuff everything up for the long awaited journey.

We have had a wonderful weekend spent with family and friends. On Saturday we had a BBQ here at the house to say "farewell, to everyone for the summer!" We had a great time and lots of laughs were shared by all. On Sunday we spent the day "Boating" with our friends Todd & Diane who very generously took us out for a wonderful day boating and swimming at Lake Minnetonka. Bob's sister Ruth and her friend Matt also joined us. The weather was absolutely perfect and the water very refreshing. We had a special surprise when we met up with Vanessa and a few of her freinds who were also "Boating" around the lake. We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family to enjoy these last few days with.

We still have lots of "STUFF" to get done so we'll say so long for now. We hope you will enjoy visiting the blog often to check on or progress and keep up on our adventure. We will post whenever we can find internet access. We will be using flickr.com to upload our photos. There is a direct link to our Flickr photo's on the right side of the blog home page. Enjoy! And don't forget to send us your comments!

BonJour,
Bob & Sherry

Good luck to both of you and buen camino!
Too bad we can't ride together this year, it sure was a lot of fun last summer.
I did qualify for the PBP this weekend; the 600 km through the Adirondacks was aptly described as very hilly, but the weather was nice except for the persisting headwinds.
Take care, and LOOK RIGHT first when in England!
