We have made it to Ceret, France in the Pyrnesees mountains right on the border with Spain. Tomorrow we enter Spain!!!!!!! But, not before climbing a few more passes in the Pyrenees.
It has been an amazing last couple of days. We have biked canals, and mountains and have seen castles that would blow your mind. We have met bicyclists from around the world. We have stayed at some incredible campgrounds and they often put all the cyclists together.
We have been climbing the Pyrenees for 2 days now. They have exceeded every possible expectation that we have had. They should be on everyone's to see list before they die. It is hard to explain the sheer beauty. The amazing thing is that there is hardly a soul up there. We have had 10 to 14 percent grades but shared the roads with hardly a car!!
We have loaded more pictures onto the website. I hope they do it justice. The canal was spectacular as well but the trail just kept getting smaller and smaller to the point we thought it would soon disappear! However, we made it 70 miles on it and it was a great escape from the cars and the wind.
Oh, the sun came out!!!! It has been beautiful for the last two days.
Quick update on flat tire counts
Bob ===== 13 flats. He had 1 all the way across the U.S. last year!
Sherry ==== 0 flats!!!! On those skinny little tires!!
